Special cotton is used to produce our cotton organic blankets. Cotton can only be classified as organic if very special requirements are met. The field must be barren without any planting and chemicals used on the soil for 5 years. Cotton plants regrowing fields are not sprayed with any pesticides during growing season. No chemicals are used in the manufacture of the organic blankets.
